What Causes Vision Not To Return After Cataract Surgery After Tuberculosis Of Eye?
My mother had an eye infection which was diagnosed as tuberculosis of the eye, she had medicine for 4 months following which the doctor said she could go ahead with her cataract surgery as the infection had cleared. Surgery completed, vision not come back and the other eye is losing vision slowly, patient could see clearly before the operation. Doctor now suspecting tuberculosis meningitis

Tubercular meningitis can be treated by medication. Treatment should be completed and assured by senior specialist chest and TB.Treatment of TB meningitis is more important than cataract surgery.

tubercular meningitis requires anti tubercular treatment.specific treatment which passes blood brain barrier. better to consult chest and TB specialist.
