What Causes Vomiting After Taking Augmentin?
If I am allergic to Augmentin, does that mean I am also allergic to Penicillin? Two hours after taking one Augmentin pill, I started vomiting and 24 hrs later I was admitted to the hospital for three days. My eyes were swollen almost shut and purple and black, also my whites were blood red-all from vomiting! My blood pressure was very high - 200 something over 100 something. Once before this happened to me. I am highly allergic to Flaygl also. Thank you for answering my question, Brenda

If you are allergic to augmentin then you are allergic to penicillin too..Flagyl comes under different group.
Augmentin contains amoxicillin and cavulanate.Whenever a doctor prescribes antibiotic you have to tell the doctor that you are allergic to penicillin group and Flagyl.
