What Causes Vomiting Along With Difficulty In Breathing?

my son has just vomited badly. He seemed well then jumped out of bed and was very sick. Now he feels like he can t breath, his throat and nose feel very sore. he keeps trying to blow his nose. We ve tried steam and albas and his breathing is a normal rhythm but nose feels swollen, blocked. What to do?

Noted the history and understood your concerns.
It is common in children to have swollen throat and blocked nose as a reaction to the stomach contents of the vomitus which may be acidic.
I would advise you the following in such a situation.
Give him sips of cold water.
Reassure him a lot and ask him to breath quietly along with you insisting this is just possible.
Instill decongestants nasal drops.
Consult a Doctor for clinical evaluation and any additional medications if at all needed.
It may be needed to give antacids and PPI or Ranitidine.
