What Causes Vomiting And Brownish Fluid In Stools Of A Cancer Patient?
I am doing caregiving for a 61 year old male with lung cancer, he is on hospice and is vomiting quite a bit of brownish fluid, this brownish fluid is as well coming from his bowels when he uses the toilet. What ever he eats tends to come back up in the form of that brownish fluid with slight chunks of food. I have tried several food items to help him, don t know what will keep his stomach settled. He is on nausea and vomiting meds but they are not helping.
The patient might be having internal Gastrointestinal bleeding that might be causing this brownish vomit and stool. some times simple measures such as cold liquids or cold milk may help, Proton pump inhibitor medicines help by reducing acid content in stomach and help by decreasing vomiting
