What Causes Vomiting And Sever Pain Under Right Rib Near Stomach?
My daughter age 35'has been experiencing vomiting, sever pain under right rib near stomach. She had back pain in same area last night. She is unable to eat or drink dry heaving at every try. She saw Dr. Today did some blood work...has elevated liver, pancreas levels.High white cell count, dehydrated, blood in urine. The Dr. Is running further blood work...which won't be back for 5 to 7 days. I'm very concerned and am encouraging her to go to ER and not wait. The Dr. Did give her med to stop vomiting...when I spoke to her earlier, she had tried to drink water and dry heaved. She also has a headache wich she feels is from dehydration.(she is a Paramedic).
Hello, Pain in right upper abdomen more likely go to Acute hepatitis as you mentioned elevated liver enzymes also. But you also mentioned elevated pancreatic enzymes. kindly see serum lipase. If it is high then it can be due to Acute Pancreatitis. In both the cases, if dehydration is there and not able to take orally then you should go to ER for admission and intravenous hydration along with confirmation of disease, she is suffering.
Thanks
