Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Vomiting bile and diarrhea after gallbladder removal are most likely due to Post cholecystectomy syndrome (PCS). It usually happens after 2 years of gallbladder removal. Leg cramps might be caused by hypocalcemia from Vitamin D deficiency, it may also be caused by fluid and electrolyte imbalance after vomiting or diarrhea.

There are varieties of causes of PCS, the most common ones are adhesions from the surgery, Oddi sphincter dysfunction, and biliary tract disorders. You should be checked for PCS at the hospital. Diagnostic steps may include ultrasound, upper endoscopy, or HIDA scan.

Treatment is usually a prescription of bile acid sequestrants and rarely surgery. All patients after gallbladder removal should get supplements of Vitamins A, D, E and K.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Malik Amonov
