What Causes Vomiting, Headache And Blurred Vision After Falling On The Buttocks?

I slipped on some hidden ice last weekend and fell backwards hitting my buttocks and my head. My coat was very thick so that cushioned my buttocks. I monitored myself for any symptoms....vomiting, headache, blurred vision, dizziness or getting sleepy. I didn t have any of those. I m scheduled to see my family physician on Tuesday so I can be checked and she will order an X-ray of my head

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I would explain that it is quite normal to feel this way after a head trauma.

Anyway, I would recommend having some rest and taking plenty of water.

If you do not experience any gait disturbances, nausea or progressive headache, there is nothing to worry about.

Otherwise, I would recommend performing a brain CT scan to exclude intracranial bleeding.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Kind regards,
Dr. Iliri
