My 2 year old son pukes after every meal. He will refuse the 4th bite of whatever we re eating, and if I try to get him to eat it anyway, up comes everything. This is with any food, his favorites, regulars, doesn t matter. I m lucky to get one meal into him a day, and this has been going on for over a month, close to two.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood your concerns. One to two moths of suffering in a child of 2 years is a long time to suffer from. The most probable cause of vomiting after little food in a child of 2 years can be due to the following reasons: Intestinal worms, obstruction or chronic infection. I would advise you the following in such a situation: X-ray of the abdomen in standing position. Ultrasonography. Tests of stool for a few days and observation for worms. Tests of blood. Clinical evaluation by a Pediatrician or a Pediatric surgeon. Barium meal if required. All these things will lead to a proper diagnosis and hence gives a plan of management.
