Hi,

There is a very important entity that must be considered in any postpartum woman who had a baby within the past 6 months (in your case I may stretch to 7 given the limited information you're providing) called an SVT (Sagittal Venous Thrombosis). Though there are typically more symptoms in this pathology than the ones you are referring. The major ones are headache, nausea, and vomiting.

Given the information at hand, if I were your PRIMARY DOCTOR, I would refer you to either a NEUROLOGIST or HEADACHE SPECIALIST who could opt to send you for what is called an MRV (Magnetic RESONANCE VENOGRAPHY) which is very sensitive to the presence of VENOUS BLOCKAGES and CLOTS. These can occur up to 6 months after giving birth but if you were my patient I would consider stretching the time line depending on your history and neurological examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dariush Saghafi, Neurologist
