My son has been throwing up for 4 days now. We made a trip to the er on Sunday and they gave him an iv with fluids and phenegran. Just got back from the er for s second time. They gave him another iv with fluids and phenegran and diladud. They haven't said what it could be. They did blood work and chest xray but still no conclusion. He is 21 years old.
Not clear from history what happened before vomitings. Also fever present or not? Abdominal symptoms and Drug history important... What ever the cause may be so much vomitings need admission and nil by mouth and fluids. if blood tests unrevealed the cause get Ultrasound abdomen for Gall bladder empty stomach. treatment can be symptomatic most of times.
