Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter has taken Prozac for 3 years and is now 16. Since a little over a month she has been walking like she is unsteady and unsure of walking and has a little trouble keeping her hands steady. Should I take her off the meds and see if it clears up??
Prozac is an activating drug and it can sometime cause such symptoms.
Do not take off the medication because it can bring back her symptom and may cause withdrawal symptom as well. Consult your psychiatrist who will take care of her problems.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Rohit Kothari
