Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Warm Sensation While Eating Certain Foods?
I feel a warm sensation when I eat/swallow hot/certain foods (tomato sauce, salty snack foods- and sticky foods such as beans and tuna). I have swallowed large bites of really hot food several times and burnt my throat/esophagus. When I get stressed I can feel the same warm sensation in the same area as well. The area is mostly on my right side in my rib(s) and just under my chest area. It disappears at times but stress seems to bring it back it.
Dear, This problems has a relation with your past experience of eating really hot food and burn in throats and esophagus. Many a times we learn to fear from some and same negative experiences and feels every time I will eat or swallow certain food, I will have same experience again. It is psychological and such experiences increase when we are under stress. You don't seem to have major problem, consult a good psychiatrist and share with him. Thanks....
