What Causes Warmness In Limbs With A History Of COPD?

good morning sir.....my father-in-law age 73yrs is suffering from COPD from last few years.he dont have any problem in change of weather,but while a little walk at home,while changing clothes ,bathing,eating food he has having severe problem-unable to breathe properly.Recently having warm feeling in legs from toe to knee in front portion,due to this he is unable to sleep properly at night.kindly suggest what is the actual problem?waiting for your consultance.thank you.good day

Thanks for posting your query to Healthcaremagic.

His breathing difficulty during activities is because of his COPD problem only . He needs to improve his strength of his lungs by doing breathing exercise that is by using Incentive Spiormetry device. This is in addition to taking his medications and Inhalers for COPD.

But a heart problem also can cause breathlessness on doing activities . So I recommend him to get 2D ECHO scan done to know the heart status.

His warmth is due to excess of Carbon dioxide gas getting retained in his body , again this signifies that his COPD is deterioration. So same advise for this also , breathing exercise that is by using Incentive Spiormetry device.

Kindly revert back after 2D Echo scan.
