Hello,
Spotting during a pregnancy is not a welcome sign. You should make sure after proper investigation that there is no local cause like cervicitis, erosion, polyp, vaginitis, and intrauterine causes like bleeding and hormone deficiencies. Once the exact cause can be localized, treatment becomes easier. You should abstain from intercourse, take as much rest as possible and avoid stress. Periodic sonograms are necessary. If the discharge is profuse and is associated with irritation and foul smell, it is due to infection; else, it is common during pregnancy. A check up will clarify the things. Wish you safe motherhood.
