What Causes Watery Eyes And Numbness Of The Right Side Of The Face?

I have a sensation with my lip on the right side of my face. When drinking coffee in the normal way from a cup I find it difficulte to not spill some of it while ingesting. For some reason my right eye only is constantly in tears. ( I recently saw my opthalmoligist and certain drops were applied for testing so I didn t think much about the tears.) BP is 135/78 and I am type 2 diabetic. AIC is at 6. Age 82. Could this be a stroke symptom? No other symtons other than noted above.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Check whether you have mouth angle shifted downwards on right side and whether you have lost forehead folds on right side. There are two possibilities in your case.

1) Bell's palsy (facial nerve damage).
2) Migraine (if you are having severe right-sided headache).

Get Your MRI brain done. Check for blood sugar level. Tab. Pregabalin will help you.
