What Causes Weakness And Difficulty To Eat After An Appendix Operation?

My mother had her appendix removed Thursday at age 80. The sent her home the next day and she has been admitted back in the hospital. They said that it didn t rupture, but was very close. Her colon is silent and she is very weak, unable to eat and continues to throw up bile. I m nervous about what is happening

1) it is due to slow bowel movement (after abdominal surgeries)
2) if girth of abdomen increased, vomitting continuous, failure to take anything orally then she require treatment to relieve this onstruction.
3) generally it gets reaolved in 3-4 days with supportive treatment.
