What Causes Weakness And Migraine After Taking MDMA?

Took mdma on a sunday morning around 4am with my friends, then within 2 hours I felt a pressure migraine on my forehead which resulted into me feeling really nausea and weak. I left and went home at 10:30am and drank a glass of water and went to sleep, since I woke up around 1pm I had something to eat and stayed in bed most of the day with this terrible migraine. Is this normal to feel weak and sick from mdma? Also it is monday 3am and I m struggling to sleep because this headache is so bad.

Diabetologist 's  Response
Hello,

MDMA or 3,4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine is actually a stimulant of the brain. Ideally, it is supposed to stimulate the activities of a person.

Other health effects include:
nausea, vomiting, muscle cramps, blurred vision, headaches, sweating, irritability, sleep problems, memory issues, decreased appetite and others. These are more frequent if MDMA is combined with other drugs such as Marijuana.

The effects can last upto a week. Take plenty of fluids so as to wash off the MDMA.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saumya Mittal,
