I had an abortion about 4 years ago, I m 22 now. ever since I have continued to gain weight. I usually was at 120, I am 5 4 and I only fluctuated about 5 pounds. then after the abortion I started gaining every year until now I am 180 and haven t changed much. I used to be able to lose weight no problem and now I cant lose any no matter what I do. My eating habits also haven t really changed since then either. Could something happened with the abortion? I got it done in the clinic.
Good evening. Unfortunately, nothing that would've been administered or done during an abortion would be related in any way to your status of gaining weight 4 years later. I know you say your eating habits haven't changed but in point of fact, one does not know what eating habits are like or how they change over time unless they keep strict food diaries and logs. The same can be said for your activity levels. A recent study that appeared in the medical journals discovered that in the vast majority of people who have trouble with weight control issues of DECREASED ACTIVITY LEVELS are much more important and have more impact on weight gain than changes (i.e. worsening EATING HABITS).
Therefore, my recommendation is that you consider either getting a consult with a nutritionist along with a personal trainer to help with the PT or just a nutritionist in order to help you determine where you are with food intake and how that is likely impacting things.
