Hi, I have this weird bump in between my eyebrows which seemingly happened overnight a few days ago. It s itchy, feels like a bruise and has like my skin peeling of it slowly like a bad sunburn. It s really red and I m kind of worried about it. I ve never had it before but I do know that it really hurts and it s a major pain. Any help would be great.
I can understand your concern for weird bump on eyebrows.
It is evident from your query that you have infection and inflammation of the hair root at the eyebrow area. It is due to sun exposure or due to repeated touching or due to cosmetic application with sweating and high bacterial proliferation.
In my patients I suggest them to apply antibiotic cream such as gentamycin.
I also suggest to take pain killer tablets such diclofenac or paracetamol to reduce inflammation and pain.
If it is increasing despite the treatment then I give oral antibiotic such as ciprofloxacin or cefixime two times a day for 5 days to prevent secondary infection.
The most important part in your case is to not to touch the area. It is because of the fact that by repeated touching or pinching the area gets more inflamed.
You can meet a dermatologist for best guidance. Take care.
