Understanding your concern. As per your query wheezing and headache while treating strep throat is because of persistence of infection. When we take antibiotics for sore throat it destroy the normal flora bacteria normally living in our body which makes body further susceptible for infection and infection occur due to weakened immune system. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may prescribe stronger antibiotics azithromycin and anti-inflammatory for longer duration. For now do betadine gargles 2-3 times a day. Avoid cold carbonated beverages. Use mist humidifiers in room.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
