Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
At night while sleeping, only once in a while... I wake up wheezing, coughing and last night was the first time I vomited. I sit up and cough for a while, then when I lay back down I have a lot of wheezing. I am almost 63 yes. old. Do you have any idea what could be causing this to happen?

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Based on the history you have given and considering your age, it would be better to get yourself evaluated by consulting a Cardiologist. You may need the following investigations during the course of evaluation:
1. Blood pressure recordings.
2. Electrocardiogram.
3. Echocardiogram.
4. Stress test.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Ashakiran. S.
