What Causes Whistling Sound In Ears When Someone Speaks?

Every time someone speaks I hear a whistling sound. It s not overwhelming but it is there. I am completely deaf in my left ear already so I am always nervous about hearing problems. Could this be serious? It just started this afternoon. I also have slight pressure in my ear.

Yes, its worrisome, you need to seek an opinion of ENT Specialist in your area on a priority basis.
Since you are practically hearing with only one ear, the other ear becomes a precious ear. Many things can cause a hearing loss. I stitch in time saves nine aptly fits in your case. So give priority to the hearing in the ear and seek early opinion with hearing test from a ENT Doctor.
