What Causes White And Orange Dots On Lower Part Of Upper Lip?

My top lip is 2 different shades of red. The upper part is normal but the bottom part of the upper lip is a lighter red, almost a white. It looks as if it s dead skin but I ve tried to get it off but I can t. After looking closely, it s almost like little white dots and some orange ones too mixed in there. What s the problem?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

The lesions on the upper lip may be aberrant sebaceous glands..called Fordyce spots. The spots are benign and harmless. And there is no need to treat the spots. They would remain permanently without causing a problem. However, consult the dermatologist and get a perfect diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilyas Patel, Dermatologist
