What Causes White Coating On Tongue?

Hi. I started getting a white coating on my tongue after I had my tonsils removed a year ago. I've tried everything and it hasn't gone away, I've even been to the doctors and had antibacterial mouth drops and its still there. It makes my mouth feel dry and taste horrible. Any help would be appreciated!

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain you might be suffering from yeast infection known as ORAL CANDIDIASIS or ORAL THRUSH..
It is a fungal infection caused CANDIDA ALBICANS fungus..

Antibacterial drops will not solve the purpose as they can kill bacteria although they can further lead to increase in severity of the fungal infection by killing the good bacteria present in mouth and increasing the susceptibility of fungal infections..

You should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and in case if thrush is diagnosed you need to take a course of anti-fungal medications like Fluconazole or Itraconazole for 2 weeks orally..
Gargle with Nystatin mouthwash.
Sucking anti-fungal lozenges can help..
Take more of Probiotics in diet like Yoghurt and garlic..
Drink plenty of water to maintain hydration..
