What Causes White Colour Slightly Bulging Vein On Neck?

Hi i have a white colour slightly bulging vein on the right side of my neck, a week prior to this it was painful to turn my neck, now it is no longer painful however i can feel the vein on my neck still and it feels weird, what could this be? Thankyou.

Hi Dear ,

As per your query you have white color slightly bulging vein on neck . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to many reasons like swollen gland or a lump , but in your case it probably occur ddue to distention of the vein which is also known as jugular vein distention . Excess volume of blood in the vein can cause its distention which occur as a result of some heart disease . Basically jugular veins carry blood from the head to the superior vena cava , which empties into the heart. I would suggest you to consult cardiologist for proper examination without any delay and rule out cause like swollen gland .
