What Causes White Patches On Face?

I ve been having white patches on my face since early this year. I took tests including ANA and they came back negative. Last month I was exposed to the sun while on a beach outing and the white patches came back worse. Now its spreading further down my cheeks. It flakes off with dry skin. What could this be?
