What Causes White Sores In The Throat And Swelling In Tonsils?

My throat has white sores on it and it s hurting and my tonsils are swollen. It has been around two months now that I havve had this. The pain goes away and the sweeling goes down but then it comes back. this has happened three times so far. Online it said Strep only lasted 7 to 9 days. What is wrong with me?

The soreness over the throat can be because of bacterial infection or it can be candidiasis (white spots). Nothing to be panic, consult an ENT surgeon and get it evaluated. If it is bacterial infection, you need to take a course of antibiotics like levofloxacin(if you are not allergic). Do saline gargling.
