What Causes White Spot On Tip Of Tongue In A Baby?

My 12 month old baby has had a small white spot on the side tip of his tongue. It doesn t bother him but it s been there for at least 6 months. He has had a milk protein allergy and the doctor originally thought it was thrush. Just needed some insight on what could cause this.

Hi, white spot since 6 month of age could be geographical tongue. In geographical tongue white spots in different patterns are present since birth. This is a normal thing and no treatment is required for this. If this had been an infection than it would have spread more. So, i think that its geographical tongue and you should not worry about this. Good day.
