What Causes White Spots And Swelling On Lingual Tonsils?

Removed my tonsil glands 14 years back and now tonsil glands are seems to be come back. I can see some white patches over the glands and also my lingual tonsils are swollen. I am taking traditional septalin as my doctor dont want to give me antibiotice for prolonged time. Please advise me what to do at the moment.

Hi, Reappearance of tonsils post tonsillectomy is not that common now a days as the tonsillectomy which is done by dissection method removes whole of tonsils. Only part of the lingual tonsil can remain behind in some cases and gradually over a period of time enlarge in size and reappear as tonsil. So, infection over that remnant tonsil can appear white patches. Please regularly use antiseptic gargles and things can be fine. Septilin is usually given for immunity building and can be used but an ayurvedic doctor will be a better person to explain about septilin. Regards
