What Causes White Stools?

My 22 year old son had white stools for 3 days but it is brown again. He had a sonagram and blood work and they said it was normal. He recently has been taking a lot of protein and vitamins; could that have caused it or what else should we be concerned about?

Hello
I can understand your concern . Yes too much of proteins can definitely change the colour of stools so you should not be too much concerned . And please take care of not taking too much of anything may it be proteins , vitamins or anything for that matter . Diet should be balanced . Just as a precautionary measure i would advice you to get a Stool examination ( test ) done to rule out any infection . I hope i have cleared your doubts but if you have any further query , please feel free to ask me
