What Causes White Tube Like Material In Hair?

Hi my daughter has these little white tube looking things in her hair, mainly in one area of her head. They re not nits because they don t pop when I squeeze them. I was wondering if they were these hair cast things I was reading about. If they are is there a treatment for it?

Hello, by ur history, the white tube like things can be nits or pseudonits.
Nits are attached firmly to the hair shaft, their distance from the scalp increases with the growth of the hair, and the child has itchy scalp by virtue of lice..Pseudonits, on the other hand, can be easily removed from the hair shaft, they go off with cleansing the scalp.
So, if after normal cleansing the problem remains, i would adv you to visit a dermatologist for evaluation.
Thanks
Take care
