What Causes White Vaginal Discharge?

Doctor, I missed my period his month. My last period date was on 18th of september. Am i pregnant? if yes, why i am experiencing white dischargelike(sticky, white and mild smell). Is it normal? Plz let me know as i am really worried.....Thanx much. waiting for our quick response.
