I am 75 yrs old lady had tonillectomy 7 yrs back due to recurrent tonsillitis with fever and inspisated pus & a tonsillar stone - after lot of conservative treatment I had Tosilectomy & adenectomy.Althoufgh recurrent spell of fever has gone ,but I keep on having burning pain & sometime find a whitish membrane over lateral pharynx. What shall I do.
in my opinion this whitish membrane like structure in lateral pharynx is slough. this is normal after tonsillectomy. this is made after having regular H2O2 gargles. it is good, it will get healed in normal tissue gradually. just take diet as instructed by your operating surgeon. cold drinks are allowed.
