What Causes Whitish Tissue Like Discharge During Menstrual Cycle?
Whitish tissue like discharge during menstrual cycle? About 6 months ago I Had a C-section with my first child. After, for the first 5 weeks I bleed not heavy but not light. Recently I just started taken birth control. Sometimes I notice discharge during my cycle but never worry because I know it can be pretty normal. But now I m on my cycle and I ve noticed(for the first time) a whitish (with just a small lining of red) tissue like discharge. About maybe an an inch and a half long(2in). Can this just be a symptom from my body fully recovering from carrying a child? Just symptoms of my menstrual cycle? Early pregnancy? Or side effects from my BC? I have no severe cramps or any type of odor when I notice it. Is this something I should worry about? Get checked out?
Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns. usually after delivery body has to balance all hormone levels and because prolactin which is milk producing hormone will cause some changes. White discharge is called lochia due to cervical part of uterus. If it is associated with itching ,pain, bad smell then only you should worry about it. Oral contraceptive pills also cause this, by effect on cervical mucus. Do not worry it is not due to pregnancy. Immediately after delivery natural contraception will be there because of lctation. Get a gynic appointment and get a PAP SMEAR ,it will show any pathology . Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions. Thank you.
