What Causes Worm In Stool After Having A Cake During Pregnancy?

I am 20 weeks pregnang and i had the diareah after eating some cake. I just went to the bathroom about 15 minutes ago and I thought i saw a worm in my stool. it wasnt white but it wasnt a normal looking stool either. As soon as i was done i came and got my husband, hes an EMT so i thought that he would know. he didnt. so he went and asked his mother and she said that i was fine. i would really like to know what it was. i dont want it to harm my unborn child. Please help me.

Hello dear,I understand your concern.In my opinion worms in the intestine leads to intestinal infection causing diarrhoea and anaemia sometimes.Dont worry it doesn't harm your baby.But to confirm that stool examination for microscopy might be done.If it is really present you can take a course of antiboitics.Also check how is the blood % or Hb to rule out anaemia.
