What Causes Yellow Brown Looking Phlegm?

Hi, I ve been coughing up a yellow brown looking phlegm that smells and tastes like almonds. I also have been blowing my nose and the same colored phelgm in massive amounts is coming out of my nose. Can you explain what this may be? Would appreciate any input and explanation. Thank you.

Hi, thanks for your query. In my opinion, you might be having respiratory tract infection .
If I were your treating doctor, I would have prescribed penicillin antibiotics + antihistamines + mucolytics combination drugs twice daily for 3 to 5 days. Steam inhalation will be helpful. Hope my answers have helped you. Thanks.
