What Causes Yellow Liquid Dripping Out Of The Nose?

Yesterday while I was bent over to pick up some stuff, bright yellow fluid suddenly started dripping out of my nose. The drainage was unilateral--left side only. It happened today morning as well and I felt it while going to sleep yesterday night. What could it be? Is it serious? I have this common cold since yesterday.

Hello

Considering that you are having a cold , the yellow liquid is likely to be infected secretions from the sinus and i dont think you have to worry and it is not serious. However yellow color indicates that there is an infection and you will need a course of antibiotics for it. Please meet your ent doctor for the prescription.

Take care!
