What Causes Yellow Patches On The Scalp And Face?

my 5 year old daughter has yellow patches on her scalp,do you know it could be?also 2 have appered on each side of her face near her temple. the yellow patchs do flake off if you scratch it(i tested it) could it be cradle cap,they are not sore or itchy.
