What Causes Yellow To Clear Discharge With Blood During Pregnancy?

I am 38 weeks an 1 day pregnant, and i had this thick yellow gooey, stringy discharge come out 2 days ago, and was told that was part of my mucus plug. Today, i went to the bathroom, an there was clear stringy snot lookin stuff wit bright red tiny laces of blood through out it...what is this?

Hallo Mumma,

What you have been informed is correct.

When labour is about to start, the mouth of the uterus(cervix) starts shortening and opening. The mucous plug entangled in the cervix then gets dislodged and comes out with some amount of blood. this is known as 'show'.

What you are noticing seems to be the show. Show is indication of imminent delivery. I suppose now you have to be prepared for delivery. Make your personal and house arrangements ready for welcoming a new chubby host of your house.
