What Causes Yellowish Vaginal Discharge Post Insertion Of Canesten Vaginal Capsules?

Hi doctor , I have a quite embarrassing situation. I had my first sex and caught a STI I was informed tht it was something normal after losing the virgin. It was pretty late to know tht I had an infection . I used Gyno mizko 3 vagina ovules . The symptoms had slightly disappeared and then again reoccurred It s been 3 months now tht I have a STI. Recently I had spotting and had visited the doc and he precibed CANESTEN vagina capsules , aftr inserting the first one the following day I had severe watery yellowish discharge along wit the chalky capsules. wat freaked me out is spots of blood too. Can u plz tell me if this is normal ?

Hi there, I have understood your concern and I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.

First of all do not panic.

Please seek prescription support from your treating doctor for a broad spectrum antibiotic like Doxycycline 2 times a day for a week. This helps to clear most of the sexually transmitted diseases.
The discharge after inserting vaginal tablets can be due to dissolved medicine or the capsule covering that comes out. So do not worry about it.

I will suggest you to get per vaginal and per speculum gynecological examination done to rule out any pathology like cervical polyp or erosion, that can cause bleeding off and on, and any element of pelvic inflammatory disease.

I will strongly suggest you to get sex counseling done before going ahead. This will help you to know about safe and protected sex, and will help prevent unwanted pregnancy and STDs.
