What Causes Yellowish Vaginal Discharge With History Of Trichomoniasis?
I have had trichomonas that was supposed to have been treated about 3 years ago. Less than a year after that, symptoms of it came back and they have been coming and going ever since. Several months ago, I noticed that when I whipe after I urinate, there are little brown specks on my tissue that almost look like dirt. I also have a clear, sometimes yellowish discharge and a strange (non fishy) odor. These symptoms increase during my period. I have been tested for STDs through pap, urine, & blood work and they all came back positive. What could be the problem?
Hi, Welcome to HCM. Recurrent infection of Trichomonas indicates either inadequate treatment or partners are not being treated adequately or they had a poor compliance to treatment. You had not mentioned whether you are married or not and about your sexual activities and what type of dosage schedule with what drugs etc. would help in fixing the exact reason for the relapse. Trichomonas discharge has mild odor (not fishy). Furnish the details to discuss further. Dr S.Murugan
