What Causes Your Period To Come Early?

Hi doctor I got periods in November 25.later in December due to occasions I postpone by taking tablets.I got periods again on January 2 nd, later February 2nd, but in March till today means 20th also I didn t get my periods. I am doing diet from March 1st not eating rice. I went to laboratory and done with urine test. As the results are negative. But still I can t understand why it was too late. So please suggest me what makes the periods come soon. Please doctor. Thanking you.

Hi,

1. Delay in periods can be because of stress, hormonal imbalance and an increase or decrease in weight gain.
2. As you have taken medicine to delay the periods once, is fine.
3. The average length of the menstrual cycle is 28-40 days, you can wait for few more days. If still, you don't get it then you can take norethisterone tablet twice a day for 5 days then stop. After 5-7 days of stopping the medicine, you will get your periods as this medicine helps in regulating the cycle and maintain hormonal imbalance in the body.
