What Chances Of HIV Transmission From Unclean Barber Hand?
Dear Doctor
I done my daughters head shaving (Tone sure) in a relegious centre. I useda new blad nad a knife. Before starting tonsuring he dipped the knife that I given in a white solution ( That may be dettol solution). But he dipped the old knife ( previous person) in the same solution . Whether any chance to transmit virus through this solution.
Second, the barber touched my daughters head with naked hand without washing his hand before the previous persons head shave. Is any chances to transmit HIV in this route. My daughter get some cut in skin during shaving.
Hello You used a new knife and blade and your barber dipped new as well as old knife in white solution ( may be some antiseptic solution ) so in this way there is no chance of getting HIV infection by your daughter. 2nd question is barber touche your daughter head so many times with naked hand . In vitro ( outside in air ) virus can't survive , so no chance of any HIV infection. 3rd point your daughter got so many cuts during shaving but as you mentioned earlier that knife and blade were brand new , so there is no chance of getting HIV infection by your daughter. So in my opinion there is no chance of getting HIV infection by your daughter. Good luck.
