What Could A Growing Red, Itchy Bump On Thigh Indicate?

Hi, I have a large red and itchy bump on my right thigh. It started off as just a small dime sized bump, and has now in the last 2 days grown to larger than a half dollar. Should i be concerned or is this just something simple like a large pimple or ingrown hair?
