What Could A Painful Lump Above Vagina With Puss And Blood Indicate?

I noticed about a week ago that I had a bump above my vaginal area. It is a little painful but not too bad. I've had these before and they would fester up and pop with puss and blood and this one did the same. I am married and have only had one partner. I don't think it would be a STD but just curious what might be causing this?
