What Could Be Burn Like Marks On Thumb, Middle And Pointer Knuckle, And On Knees Too?

My friend has burn like marks on her parts of her hands like on her thumb knuckle, between pointer and middle finger knuckle, close to wrist bone, on her wrist, on her knee, and in her foot between her big toe and toe next to it and on her big toe. And they all look like burns. What could this be?

At this point of time with this description, its difficult to tell what your friend is actually suffering from.
Are the lesions raised and scarred?
Are they pigmented only?
Are they itchy?
Any history of burn or cream application or injury?
