Hello,
Spotting or
bleeding between periods can occur due to hormonal imbalance. Other underlying health conditions that can cause bleeding between periods are stress, polyps, fibroids, infections, PCOS, STDs,
thyroid dysfunction,
implantation bleeding, etc. Get examined by a gynecologist. Get all required blood tests like urine test for
pregnancy, hormonal tests, T3, T4, TSH, etc., done.
Get investigations (
Ultrasonography) done. You will be given conservative treatment, with medications, will be advised therapy, surgery is only recommended when there is no response to treatment.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
