Hello, I had a pain / burning like sensation in my ascending colon and appendix area. The first time was 3 years ago after a colon cleansing. After 1 or 2 days it desappeared. But then I startet to have this sensation more frequently and it is more painful. I am also starting to have periods of diarrea. Thank you

Hello,

Your symptoms are indicative of infection or inflammation in the abdomen, gastrointestinal issues, IBS, IBS-D meaning IBS associated with diarrhea. It can also be indicative of appendicitis. You are advised to take anti diarrheal and antacids to help relieve your symptoms.

PPIs, one stat when needed effectively relieves symptoms of abdominal pain and burning. Get clinically examined by a GP. Get all required blood tests, and investigations, abdominal ultrasound and CT done. Conservative treatment is given. If symptoms are persistent, surgery may be recommended.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
