What Could Be Causing Red Spots On The Ankles, Feet Which Now Started To Spread?
yes, my husband has heart disease and has had two hip replacements last year, he also has gout and bercidous. ? not sure of spelling. He has developed small red spots on his ankles and now his feet, not rash like, very light. No dry skin or itchiness. Is this something to worry about?
The type of skin lesions that your husband has developed can either be lesions of a benign lesion like schambergs disease or it can either be lesions of vasculitis. The site that you have mentioned which is the ankle is a common site for development of reddish to brownish lesions which can develop due to extravasation of the blood cells due to pressure changes. This occurs in schambergs disease, however it is a benign skin disease. On the other hand, lesions of vasculitis need to be evaluated to find out the cause. So you should see a nearby dermatologist for complete evaluation.
