What Could Be Done For Carotid Artery Stents Related Severe Headache?

On Dec 17 I had carotid artery stents placed in the left side carotid. Afterward they had trouble keeping my blood pressure up. It is still running lower than normal and I have discontinued use of any BP medications. However yesterday on several occasions and today on several occasions I have experienced severe headaches that stem from the crown of my head and continue to behind my eyes. They last from a few seconds to several minutes The intensity seems to be lessening but they are undoubtedly the worse headache pain I ve ever felt. Any suggestions or should I be worried? I recall something during hosp. discharge about headaches but this seems to be a good bit of time since the procedure.

You should call your cardiologist and vascular surgeon at once and report these new, severe headaches. Make sure that you tell them that these are the worse headaches that you have ever experienced in your life. These are important words when describing a headache.
